Cricket World Cup-2007

The 2007 cricket World cup will be hosted by the West Indies from March 11th to APril 28th 2007.It will be contested by 16 nations divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from each group will then compete in a "Super 8" format ,from which the semi-finalists will be decided.

There will be 51 matches on the whole. The day after each match is a scheduled reserve day,to allow for weather and other interupptions.Jamaica will host the opening ceremony on 11th March.

The tournament will begin with a league stage consisting of four groups of four. Each team will play each of the other teams in its group once.

INDIA is placed in group B along with Sri Lanka,Bangladesh and Bermuda.India will be playing its first match of the tournament against Bangladesh on 17th March at Queen's Park Oval,Port of Spain.

The following 15 players will be representing India in the World Cup.1.Rahul Dravid (capt)2.Sourav Ganguly3.Robin Uthappa4.Sachin Tendulkar5.Virender Sehwag6.Yuvraj Singh7.Mahendra Singh Dhoni8.Dinesh Karthik9.Irfan Pathan10. Ajit Agarkar11.Harbhajan Singh12.Anil Kumble13.Zaheer Khan14 Sreesanth15.Munaf Patel.

For me this is the best possible team, capable of winning the World cup 2007.We have one of the best batting line up with a good mix of stroke makers and grinders. So batting done, comes the next important clog in the wheel bowling, first of all it don't really look fearsome yet it has good settled look in Zaheer,Agarkar,Munaf,Harbhajan and Kumble.Forget not the latest young sensational bowler Sreesanth. He has the right temperment to rip the top order of the opposition.

Thus in all the best possible team.Support it,last time we were just one step away from the glory and this time we all hope that we cross that final frontier too.WISH YOU GOOD LUCK TEAM INDIA.

American Football

American Football:Derived from the English game of rugby, American football was started in 1879 with rules instituted by Walter Camp, player and coach at Yale University.

Walter Camp was born April 17, 1859, in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended Yale from 1876 to 1882, where he studied medicine and business. Walter Camp was an author, athletic director, chairman of the board of the New Haven Clock Company, and director of the Peck Brothers Company. He was general athletic director and head advisory football coach at Yale University from 1888-1914, and chairman of the Yale football committee from 1888-1912. Camp played football at Yale and helped evolve the rules of the game away from Rugby and Soccer rules into the rules of American Football as we know them today.
